1. Our head unit is compatible with MINI Coopers with both left-hand drive and right-hand drive.
2. The software for the car with/without steering wheel control is different. Please tell us if your car has steering wheel control or not so that we can load the correct software for your car before shipping.

3. This product is 100% compatible with the BMW base audio system and Mini HiFi Loudspeaker System 6FD Harman Kardon H/K (S674/S676).
BUT...If your car is equipped with S677/S688/S6F2  or BimmerTech  Fiber optics amplifier audio system, there will be no audio at all after the installation of our product. Please DO NOT buy this product.

4. The speed unit on the screen supports km/h(kph) and miles/h(mph) when you press the right "MPH" button.

6. If the car has a black CD as shown in the left photo below, then this product fits it well, you do not need to modify the frame.
If the car has a silver CD as shown in the right photo below, then you need to trim the existing frame to make it match our DVD unit. But if you do not select the "DVD Player" option, then you do not need to trim the frame.

Or replace it with a genuine cover center console, the MFG part number is 51169206835 or 51169206836, you can buy a used one from eBay or your local BMW/MINI dealer.

FAQ and Answers: 

Question 1: Hey! Would I be able to install an aftermarket amplifier with this head unit to power 4 speakers and a subwoofer? I see there is a pair of RCA outs for the fronts only. Thanks
Answer: Our model HL-8835 has a left front output, left right output, rear left output, rear right output, and a subwoofer output.
Only HL-8835 with the latest design with Android 13 has five RCA outputs. The old design has only two RCA outputs.

Question 2: If I do not take the DVD will the original CD remain in place? Would I be able to control it somehow, and what will be the main volume button (at the moment it's the one underneath the CD)? My car has no steering wheel buttons.
Answer: Yes, the original CD will be in place but it will be disabled. The main volume knob is in the middle of the Nav, next/back, and MPH buttons.

Question 3: Will all the warning lights like the check engine work with the new radio?
Answer: The warning lights are on the cluster. They will continue to work the same as before. Our model HL-8835 is compatible.

Question 4: My car has a factory DAB tuner. Will I retain it?
Answer: The original DAB tuner will be disabled. We will provide a DAB antenna adapter so the original DAB antenna will be retained for our Android DAB+dongle.

Question 5: Will I be able to see my fuel mileage per gallon and reset it and also see the outdoor temperature with this Radio?
Answer: Our radio does not show this information.

Question 6: Would this still control the instrument panel above the steering wheel?
Answer: Our radio does not control the instrument panels above the steering wheel. However, you can still control it through the turn signal switch.

Question 7: On the stock radio it's called "speed sensitive volume", and it's as you describe. When you are driving faster the volume increases so you can still hear it without manually adjusting the volume. Similarly, when you slow down at a light it lowers the volume so it isn't super loud. 

Question 7: CCC/CIC System: Can I connect the existing rearview camera? What about Park Distance control which is factory built in? Last question: how long does it take to boot up once the key is turned?
It is not compatible with the factory rearview camera and park distance control. However, the factory backup sensors will continue to work the same way they did before. It will produce chime and beep sounds through a small speaker included in the package.
