FAQ Mercedes-Benz

Question: After many trials still the issue remains, the subwoofer does not work. We believe it is the MOST because the other part of the system seems to work. It does not work the amplifier so consequently the volume is very low at all

Did you use MB part #000-545-33-84, which connects the two ends of the D2B plug together? This is done by removing the fiber ends from the plug and securing them with the loop connector. It's important to wrap these loop connectors with electrical tape, otherwise, they may ground out and cause the audio to cut out until the amplifier restarts.

When unplugging these devices, you need to remove the fiber optic connectors and install a loop connector between the two ends. The required part number is 000-545-33-84. To remove the original connectors, simply pull the grey "key" out from the lower side, and the wires will come out.
CD Changer – Remove all panels behind the driver's seat until you reach the amplifier.
Cell Phone – Behind the center console, remove the panel to access the amplifier (between the two rear storage boxes). You will see the fiber optic cable running to a module in the center that needs to be disconnected.
Voice Control – This unit is next to the amplifier (under the storage area behind the driver's seat). The connection should be underneath, so look carefully to locate it.
