BMW F07 Firmware update

Prepare a PC(not Mac) and a 4GB/8GB/16GB USB thumb drive.

Please keep the engine running while updating the firmware because it will damage the unit if the radio loses power while updating firmware.

Step 1.

1. Please download the system firmware file through this link: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AuJeF6cw4ExXoZVyWFMtTWPG7f_eOg?e=s02MY7

2. Find a blank USB thumb drive and format it via PC as fat 32 before use.

3. Drag "Ksw-Q-S-Userdebug_OS_v1.6.4_FACTORY-ota.zip" file to the USB thumb drive and connect to the USB port of the navigation system.

4. It will popup a window asking you to update. Install.

5. The system will restart and update automatically.

6. Remove the USB thumb drive after restart. DONE!

Check the ZLINK again after firmware update.

1. Uninstall the existing ZLINK app.

2. Download this file to USB thumb drive and connect to the radio upgrade system's USB port and install it.

3. After the app has been installed, shutdown the car and lock the doors, wait for 20 minutes. Restart the car again.

4. Connect the radio upgrade to Wi-Fi and launch ZLINK to activate it.

5. Try the carplay again.
